FS2004 Short S.17 Kent

By Jens B. Kristensen march 2004.

Four-engined, British flying boat airliner of 1931, famous as
the most comfortable and luxurious airliner of the time. It
was an enlarged development of the Short S.8 Calcutta with
four engines, a longer fuselage and a fully enclosed cockpit
for the pilots. Only three were built, and the only user was
Imperial Airways, who called them the 'Scipio' class after
the first aircraft, G-ABFA 'Scipio'. For more details see
the included manual.

----

This model includes a custom panel. The background bitmap
is my own, the gauges are mainly default gauges of Flight
Simulator 2004, some of them modified for four engines.
The two fuel gauges and the ADF tuner are taken from various
freeware sources. Full credits to the original authors,
I must confess I do not know who the authors are ;-)

The pilot figure is borrowed from the LA-7 sample project
included with FSDS2. The radial engines are based on a
PW Wasp Junior by Tom Eads, modified to look like a Bristol Jupiter.

You should fly this plane from the 2D cockpit.
The virtual cockpit is not really functional.

Athens or Alexandria harbours, unzip the included

----

This plane was made with FSDS 2.24.

It is freeware and must stay that way.

Good luck flying the Short S.17 Kent!
